Protecting the Past, Preserving the Future
At Archives Australia Group, we specialise in video digitisation in Australia for a wide range of purposes. Whether you’re a broadcaster needing to digitise video tapes for editing and re-broadcast or a company looking to digitise old video tapes for preservation and viewing on modern devices, we’re here to help. As magnetic tape degrades over time, digitising video tapes is the most reliable way to protect your precious content from physical deterioration.
It also gives you the convenience of easy storage, sharing, access and editing while safeguarding it from loss due to wear and environmental conditions. Our expert team can digitise old videos to ensure your footage is not only preserved, but accessible well into the future.
Formats We Can Digitise
We can digitise almost any video tape format, whether it’s a consumer home video or a professional broadcast video tape. Our supported formats include digital betacam, SP betacam, XDCAM, DVC-PRO, VHS, Video8, U-matic, D-2, DCT, 1”-inch, 2”-inch, DVCAM, HDCAM and more. Many of these formats are now obsolete, and equipment to play them is no longer manufactured or maintained. In many cases, playback decks are hard to find and costly to repair. That’s why it’s so important to digitise old video tapes now, before its too late. Our experts ensure high-quality transfers and archival-grade digital output, giving your content a new lease on life.
